Winter Windup ID Combine

Unfortunately, The Winter Windup ID Combine will be cancelled for Jan. 2022 due to low participation numbers. 

 

We will be looking into Winter 2022/2023 for new dates for this event. Thank you for your interest and please contact lhalvorson@nscsports.org for more information. 

The NSC will be hosting the first annual Girls Lacrosse Winter Windup ID Combine. This ID Combine provides players a snapshot of collegiate lacrosse and the keys to making it to the next level. This will be the best opportunity for elite players to showcase their skills and to be seen by collegiate coaches! Join us in making this the top individual recruitment event in the midwest!

Itinerary

Players will be split into 2 Groups for the beginning of the event. After group breakouts, they will be split into predetermined teams and play 3 games from 11-2pm. This is where college coaches will have the opportunity to evaluate players during game play.

Age Groups - 

Open to players with the graduation years: 2022,2023, 2024, and 2025.

Program Fee

Field Players 

  • $150 per clinic
  • Fee balance must be paid with registration 

Goalies

  • $120 per clinic
  • Fee balance must be paid with registration

Program Fee includes a 50 min. skills training from elite coaches, a College Recruitment Seminar, 3 small sided games, exposure to collegiate coaches in a fun and competitive atmosphere.

FAQ

What should I do to prepare for the combine?

  • Plan to play your best!
  • Complete a combine profile to be distributed to the coaches when you are accepted into the event.
  • Contact prospective college coaches prior to the event by reaching out to any school you are interested and tell them that you will be attending the combine. There is a list below of the college coaches planning to attend the event to see who is already signed up. 

What do I bring to the combine?

  • White T-shirt
  • Dark Shorts
  • Dark Socks (preferably Black)
  • Cleats or Turf Shoes (training/games on artificial turf)
  • All Lacrosse Equipment: Lacrosse Stick, Mouth Guard, Eye Goggles
  • Water or Sports Drink of preference
  • Snack (concessions will be available on site)
  • Pen or writing utensil
  • Notebook

How many participants will be at the combine?

  • There will be a maximum of 90 athletes at the combine

Will I be playing with my current teammates?

  • All players register as individuals, so you will not be able to request to play with specific people.
  • Combine staff will look at the registrations to put the groups together based on positions.

I am a parent, can I watch the combine?

  • Parents are welcome to join the classroom for the session. 
  • Parents not allowed to spectate the training or small-sided games.

When will I get my group assignment?

  • Players are provided their schedule, group assignment, and number at check-in. All of the activities take place in one area so college coaches can see you.

When will I hear from the attending college coaches?

  • There are specific rules about when college coaches can contact with players. Please visit the NCAA website for more information.
  • If a coach is interested in a player and the coach is permitted to contact the player according to NCAA rules, then it is up to that coach when the contact occurs.
  • Parents and players may be able to contact coaches for schools of interest, please review the NCAA rules for clarification.
  • There are no guarantees that any of the attending coaches will contact your player.

Coaches will be able to have full access on the field as well as virtual access through our livestreaming channels. Further information on livestreaming will be released at a later date.
