oVRcome Clinical Trial Published!

Updated: Aug 24, 2022

We're really proud to announce the publication of our clinical trial today in the Australian New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry which has an impact factor of 5.598.

The clinical trial was conducted by the University of Otago and led by Dr. Cameron Lacey.

oVRcome is really focussed on increasing accessibility for evidence based mental health treatment using Virtual Reality, so the publication of our first clinical trial is a huge milestone for our startup and we are really proud of the results.

Around 14 months ago, we started recruiting participants for the clinical trial, this was picked up by the local media, which included this segment below.

We had a total of 126 people start the trial, with 109 finishing the 6 week treatment, one of the participants was David (below) who had a fear of needles (Trypanophobia) and was attracted to the innovative solution for treating it.

If you're based in New Zealand and looking to participate in our future clinical trials, please register here. We are actively recruiting for our next clinical trial for social anxiety.
