About the Super Rink

The Super Rink is absolutely unique in the world of ice sport facilities.

  • Largest ice arena of its kind in the world
  • State-of-the-art facility features eight sheets of ice under one roof
  • Four Olympic-sized sheets and four that are NHL size
  • Annual attendance of nearly two million
  • Servicing youth hockey, high school hockey, figure skating, short-track speed skating, broomball, open skating and various tournaments
  • $21 million project totaling over 300,000 square feet
  • 70 degree Hat Trick Café that overlooks four of the sheets
  • 32 oversized locker rooms that provide comfortable quarters for all user groups
  • 12,500 square foot Herb Brooks Training Center provides extensive dryland training facilities for hockey and offer state-of-the-art weight training and speed and fitness machines
  • 6,200 square foot dance and fitness studio for figure skating community that provides a conditioning and dance studio, changing area, parents viewing area, figure skating store, and offices for coaches.

The Super Rink is a combined project of eleven local governmental partners along with the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission (MASC) and various youth hockey associations.
